This is a classroom, video-based, instructor-led course that features accelerated content, designed for students with existing BLS knowledge who need to renew their BLS Certification. With proper completion of this class, the student will receive his/her AHA BLS Provider Course Completion Card, valid for 2 years.

HeartCode BLS   (online course)

HeartCode BLS uses the latest eSimulation technology to enable students to assess and treat patients in virtual healthcare settings. Utilizing a variety of eLearning assets such as dramatizations, eSimulations, animations, self-directed learning, and interactive activities, this course teaches BLS knowledge and skills.  This method of learning provides training consistency, adaptability to different learning styles, and flexibility for the student’s and employer’s time. Students can work at their own pace applying their knowledge to real-time decision making and skills development. Blended training also supports the need for hands-on learning of psychomotor skills. Debriefings and coaching are provided immediately after each simulation.

Once the online portion of the course has been completed, students must attend a hands-on skills testing session with an AHA Instructor.

After successfully completing both the eLearning and hands-on session, the student will receive his/her AHA BLS Provider Course Completion Card, valid for 2 years.

Heartsaver
CPR/AED

This is a classroom, video-based, instructor-led course.  It teaches adult CPR/AED use and choking, with optional modules in child and infant CPR/AED use and choking.  Heartsaver CPR/AED teaches skills using AHA's research-proven Practice-While-Watching technique.  With proper completion of this class, the student will receive his/her Heartsaver CPR/AED Course Completion Card, valid for 2 years.  Student Course Manual purchased separately.

First Aid

This is a classroom, video-based, instructor-led course.  It teaches the skills needed to respond to an emergency until emergency medical services arrives.  The student will learn skills including, but not limited to: how to treat bleeding, broken bones, sprains, and shock.  Heartsaver First Aid teaches skills using AHA's research-proven Practice-While-Watching technique.  With proper completion of this class, the student will receive his/her AHA Heartsaver First Aid Course Completion Card, valid for 2 years.  Student Course Manual purchased separately.

Heartsaver Bloodborne Pathogens

This is a course designed to meet Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requirements for bloodborne pathogens training when paired with site-specific instruction.  The course covers the general OSHA Standard for bloodborne pathogens training for anyone with a reasonable chance for occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens.  It uses the PACT acronym (Protect, Act, Clean, Tell) and slogan, “Make a PACT, Know How to Act,” to help students learn and easily recall bloodborne pathogens training.

Skills Verification Testing

HeartCode BLS: $45                                           Heartsaver CPR/AED: $55  

This is for students who have completed an American Heart Association online course.  You must bring your certificate for "Successful Completion of Part 1" online course.  With proper completion of this skills testing, the student will receive his/her AHA Heartsaver or BLS Provider Course Completion Card, valid for 2 years.
